A lot of cybersecurity and infosec training includes backup, recovery and resiliency, and continuity planning. I disagree that operational planning is part of a cisos core responsibility. Rather the ciso is responsible for the security of the backups and recovery with network and storage architecture, access to backups, and immutability of the backups.
