One of the companies I work with has a new CEO. He's maybe 2 weeks new. Yes, LinkedIn shows he's now CEO. But a bunch of employees are now getting phishing texts from someone spoofing him.

I have a tough time believing that someone is able to scrape that data from LinkedIn and send out spoofs to our little corner of the internet that quickly.

I can't prove it, but I have a theory that cell phone apps are scraping …
