My son is entering high school and is fascinated by computer science and technology. I showed him videos of the German Enigma machine used in World War 2, even found a website that allows users to encrypt and decrypt messages with the enigma algorithms.

I figured it’d be easy enough to brute force decrypt the messages with modern computers, given how old the technology is. However, I could find no apps or code projects that can brute force enigma messages …
