Best ways to get experience on cybersecurity?

Sorry for bad english, i have been an intern on cybersecurity for some months, but i feel not learning anything on it and what i can do is limited to generate digital certificates. Since i'm not paid and joined for experience, i feel discouraged cause i dont improve and wanna leave the internship, but i really like Cybersec and want to evolve my skills.
