Best way to go about deleting an Instagram account?

I've just found an old insta account of mine and I'm wondering if I should do anything with it before deleting the account. Should I individually delete all photos/comments? Change the email? I know it's likely none of this stuff actually gets deleted so I'm not sure if it would help at all.
