Best way to externally share sensitive information in O365?

My organization users heavily use Teams, Exchange, OneDrive and SharePoint, so what's the best way to recommend my users to share sensitive information in O365 workloads to external users?

We have sensitivity labels in Exchange that can encrypt emails, but encrypting emails also encrypts any word or excel documents attached, which can complicate things for end-users.

How do you all share sensitive information through 0365? Is OneDrive better than Exchange? Is there a recommended standard I should follow or recommend?
