Best anti-malware for windows that's somewhat privacy respecting?

I heard windows defender is good in terms of finding threats but Malwarebytes is also supposedly quite good and from what I've heard it only collects analytical data which is optional. Windows on the other hand tries to collect and sell tons of data but I've opted out of all of that and on top of that windows already has my data from their other methods of mass farming user data. Can anyone confirm if malware bytes is actually reputable …
