Being a "Web Ghost" is it logical that it takes six weeks to get a one week background check on me?

Back when I worked in banking they used to do a background check every five years. I took a job in Thailand, then returned ten years later. I have very little web presence. Before I went to Thailand my background checks took only days. My last background check took six weeks. Another guy who came along at about the same time got his back in a week.
