So I've noticed this past year that voice technology seems to have reached some type of milestone as when I phone my bank they are using a short recording of my voice to authenticate and identify myself.

Is this technology 100% and how long has it been this accurate?

Does the technology exist to sample random voices and to identify it after running it through a database to obtain a match in the same way you could run someone's fingerprints …
