Are Zapier and other automation tools safe to use?

Hi! i want to start using Zapier to connect 2 stubborn apps that won't natively support this integration - Notion and my google calendar. Zapier is a valid option that comes to mind, but the privacy risk (and maybe also security risk?) are big.
