But while crypto does make cyber crime easier, it isn't the catalyst. Remote working is also a factor in the rise of ransomware, as is the increasing trend of ransomware-as-a-service. By using the blockchain and innovating exchange regulations, cryptocurrency could actually be used to reduce ransomware attacks.
