As context for this question: I'm planning to purchase a Google Pixel, install Graphen OS, and enable the "LTE only" option in the settings, which restricts the phone to using 4G LTE.

I've found recommendations to use data-only SIM cards for privacy, because talk and text can be intercepted by IMSI catchers.

However, it's easy to just use Signal for talking and texting about sensitive things. This still leaves the other threat, that of location tracking.
