What I mean is that offensive CTFs simulate a big portion of a red team job, and as such is beneficial for that. But are defensive CTFs (like the HackTheBox sherlocks, cyberdefenders and blueteamslabs challenges) relevant for a defensive cybersecurity job? Like take a SOC analyst for example, do blue team CTFs simulate a big portion of the job?
