Anyone use aliases in day to day life?

I have used the same email address with my real name for many years. I use it for work, personal life, medical stuff, etc. Obviously this isn't ideal. My identity has been stolen multiple times, and I don't doubt much of my personal info has been leaked.
Should I ideally create a new email address and alias for separate areas of my life? I'm not sure if I would remember …
