Any SOC Analysts who can shed some light on Experiences in Informatiom Security compared to Operational Security?

I have approximately 5+ years as a SOC Analyst/Engineer with a focus on IT however I am thinking about accepting a more senior role in OT however I wanted to know other people’s experience in both fields, how they compare and the major differences & Challenges?
