Privacy & Freedom in the Information Age www.reddit.com

I have Bitdefender antivirus which has a feature called online threat protection that checks websites to prevent XSS attacks I believe. How can I be sure that the websites I'm visiting are not being sent to their servers and/or being sold to spy on me? I can't find anything on their website about how this is handled. Thanks
