An organisation that held my personal data had a breach and is offering 12 months free identity monitoring service, ironically provided by Experian. Is this at all a useful service or just another attack vector for my data to be stolen?

As title. Experian had that horrendous breach a few years ago. I'm in the UK not the US but I doubt they're any or much better here. Is it just an insult to injury to give my data to yet another company after the one in question lost it? Has anyone used such services and found them to be useful?
