I have a MacBook Pro from 2011. It's no longer my primary computer but it still works fine for less taxing tasks. The OS is stuck at High Sierra (hardware won't "officially" support anything newer) which is very old now and many packages have ceased to be supported. The HD was replaced with SSD and the memory upgraded to 16GB some time ago so the machine itself is not too shabby. The battery was also replaced a while ago too. …
