Just bought a home and I saw that Apple HomePod monitors and will alert you if your smoke/CO alarms are activated in your home. I couldn’t care less about having some smart AI device in my home like HomePod/alexa/nest etc. In fact I would prefer not to. But I also really want to have the ability to know if my smoke alarms are going off while I’m not home, without having to spend thousands on a home security system.
