He reached out to cybersecurity firms and asked them to share tips with fraudsters on Telegram. He found the forums where scammers were swapping their trade secrets. The federal government says it will be at least tens of billions of dollars in fraud, but some experts fear it may end up in the *hundreds of billions* in the U.S.
