Your first cybersecurity engineer hire

I want to plan my training roadmap, so I am checking what people think on the matter, so that I will add/remove things.

You are a hiring manager/owner in a startup, relatively mature. You are about to hire your first security engineer (and as you grow, hire more to make a team). What are the main cybersecurity skills you want them to have that will make a difference relatively fast?
