Hello, I'm just wondering if placing games that have kernel-level anti-cheats (Valorant, Genshin Impact, Elden Ring, etc.) on an external drive prevent them from reading the main drive or if they still would be able to do so. If so is there still any merit or value to put such games on an external drive?

EDIT: removed Fortnite from example list
