Was getting away from Google, then...

I just started back to school, a community college. It will be online classes. But the Blackboard website the school uses for posting assignments and so on, only seems to work with Google Chrome. Am I stuck with it? Any way to get it to work with Brave or DuckDuckGo? I tried, but the "submit" button for assignments is greyed out and won't work. I would just like to not have Google sell my data, especially the city and state …
