Tried using Aurora with Google Play store disabled and my phone wouldn't work.

Afterwards, I re-enabled the Play store and continued using Aurora. I did some further digging on this sub, and saw that a few people were recommending that if your phone is already using the Play store and a stock OS, you should just use the Play store rather than Aurora ( I assume for extra security?).

Is this true? If I have a newer phone, that's not …
