My main near-future concern has never really been “will AI replace us” but “will AI lower the skill floor to where it’s no longer a rare skill”.

For example, let’s say to become a software developer you need 3 things. X, Y, Z. But in 5 years you only need X, because so long as you understand X, AI will flawlessly handle Y, and Z.
