Small company, small analysis Platform

Hey guys.
I work in a small company and i need a fast and flexible way for malware analysis.
Im thinking of something like a Computer where i can Connect a Hard disk fast and Analyse it.
Is my approach right? What Linux distro or Software is good for my use case? Are there better alternatives?
