Should I Be Using Hash Sets?

We are consultants who mostly work with attorneys and corporations. Our investigations on Windows computers are mostly related to employment issues. For example, I processed an image in Magnet AXIOM overnight and today I will be looking for evidence of data theft from an ex-employee of a large corporation.
