1. Installation:
Linux (Ubuntu as an example):
# Update the package index
$ sudo apt-get update
# Install MariaDB server
$ sudo apt-get install mariadb-server
# Start the MariaDB service
$ sudo systemctl start mariadb
# Enable MariaDB to start on boot
$ sudo systemctl enable mariadb
# Secure the installation (set root password, remove anonymous users, etc.)
$ sudo mysql_secure_installation
Windows:
- Download the MariaDB installer from the official website: MariaDB Downloads
- Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions …
