RFID as 2FA

My company would like me to implement a way to use our RFID badges as a second form of authentication into our Windows environment if possible. I have done some research and found that badges can be used as the primary factor, but didn't see anything with it being used as the second factor.

Has anyone had any experience with this? It seems like a sound solution but can't seem to find anything on it online.
