rejected AFTER reference check :(

i’m feeling so dejected today.

I was interviewing for almost my perfect job. It was kind of my “realistic” dream
job. I had 2 interviews, and they both went well. The CISO seemed very interested in me, and eager to move me along. I wrap up the final interview, and they let me know i should hear back ASAP, potentially even within a day. I was feeling so good about it!
