Privacy & Freedom in the Information Age www.reddit.com

I took a few drives and old phones to a reputable computer recycling shop for recycling and securely erasing all data. This is the best/most well-known shop like this in a large city. I paid them for a service they do where they securely erase everything and provide a certificate of data destruction.

They said that they would do 7 passes of 0's on all working drives.

For any non-working HDDs, they'll drill a hole.
