Private messenger that doesn’t use annoying bubbles for chats?

I’m refering to the style, the format, the bubble which encapsulates the text. I hate it. That’s why i love the messengers of Snapchat and Discord. The text spreads across the whole screen. But those are data goldminers. Are there any end-to-end messengers that have a similar format?
