Some subreddits take a very hostile view towards mass editing old comments for your privacy. They will remove the edited comment, ban you and start spamming you with threatening messages about using a auto deletion script.

For instance, /r/tifu /r/askreddit /r/japantravel etc.. will both remove your comment and spam you every time you edit a old post in automated fashion. They may also ban you.
