I’ve seen some horror story posts lately about how it’s hard to opt out of facial recognition when boarding a flight. I just did it on Delta at LAX, and TBH I wasn’t hassled at all - the agent quickly put her hand over the camera, I was just told to step out of the way of the camera (I had a mask & hat on anyway) and scan my boarding pass instead.
