I’ve been on IT Helpdesk for last two years, have been trying to break into field. Notice at work there is infosec and SecOps. Which one is better and how do I break in?

I’ve tried building relationships with those in those fields at my work but what else can I do?
I don’t have computer science background and have hustled my way into IT, but needing some insight.
