I'm going to try to buy a ticket in person for cash. Is that now mostly obsolete?

I tried to buy a ticket to a weekend festival online, but the form insists on name, address, phone, CC number etc. But I may have an option. You can buy a ticket at the door or in advance (I'm going to the box office tomorrow). I'm going to try to buy the ticket with cash, without giving my name. What do you think my chances are?
