I keep getting weird videos recommended to me on youtube

After I brushed my sons teeth directly in line of the webcam I noticed my top recommended videos on youtube were not only about brushing teeth but also weird drawn cartoons of women who look like me brushing a little boys teeth. Every time I've tried to tell people I think I'm being watched through my phone/laptop/webcam I was accused of having schizophrenia. Why is this happening and what should I do to protect myself?
