I had a brief stint working in compliance at a hospital. I don’t think I will ever go to a healthcare provider again without remembering that time.
When I ask to read a privacy policy, or a billing policy, I am willing to bet that I am the first person to read it in years. When I have questions about what the policy actually says, I am willing to bet I am the first patient EVER to do that.
