How I reachout to infosec/Tech journalists?

I am a security researcher, and sometimes I come across interesting stuff which is news worthy. So how do I share it with infosec, Tech journalists? Also do they pay for such interesting research (if they publish it) .


I have tried twitter DMs etc. but most of them are ignored. (maybe they get a lot of DMs)
