How did the Police find my location

This has been bothering me for some time and I need to find out.

In November of 2021 I closed on a condo in N Texas. A few months later in January 2022 I find out my identity had been stolen. Someone down south, close to Huston, had electricity in my name and that account was past due. I received a call from a collection agency. This is how I found out.
