Govee water leak detector w/WiFi: Privacy concerns?

I'd love a water leak detector that emails me when it detects a leak under my water heater. However, I have become pretty cynical whenever something has any internet connectivity; I'd prefer my data not go anywhere except to me, to tell me there's a leak.
