Do google secretly keep a copy of my search history and activity?

Do google keeps a copy of my search history and activity even if I deleted it from the “my activity” thing? For example if I deleted all my activity from the “my activity” page and law enforcement requested for google to hand in my search history to them do google still have it or is it completely gone?
