Cybersecurity: A rant

I've been doing this a long time and the one universal truth to cybersecurity is the job is about balance.

Be annoying enough to thwart threat actors but not so annoying you piss off infrastructure.

That's the problem though. You ask infra to do anything and immediately everything is on fire.

Hey guys, we don't have back out plans in our change control, can we add that field to comply with PCI?
