I am a former Comcast customer and am trying to get my information deleted under the California privacy law. However, after I initiated the deletion request, Comcast demanded (all automated) that I send a driver's license or state ID plus a photo of myself to confirm that it's really me. I've been deleting myself from countless companies for a while now and have never come across such a ridiculous policy. For obvious reasons I am uncomfortable giving them this information. …
