Can you prevent a website from grabbing your hardware ID?

I was reading through [this site's](https://www.iwin.com/privacy-policy) privacy policy. Under section 2 (Usage Information) there's a part that mentions "HARDWARE ID".

I understand their reasoning for it but I'm sure if one site's doing it every site that can will, storefront or not. So how can I avoid sites from grabbing such data?
