I live in a rough area and for the last 4 months of my lease, our landlord decided to switch to a smart lock system that uses you smartphone to unlock the doors.

I'm apprehensive not only about data being stored or tracked but also about dropping my phone and the fact of I hate pulling it out late at night and having to enter a passcode and unlock it first to get into my own home.
