Can employers find my reddit account just by email?

Anonymous post for obvious reasons. I recently changed my main reddit account's email after finding out that employers can basically invade your privacy and find your social media, which freaked me out. I was wondering though, is it possible, given an email, to find a reddit account? What if that email is no longer associated with the reddit account in question?
