Or does it not really make a difference?

I have a couple of machines and I'm using one to experiment with privacy builds on. I'm planning on using Debian, but also keeping Windows in some capacity for convenience and low risk things.

My gut sense is Linux OS and Windows VM, but just wanted to check others' opinions.
