I installed Arch Linux in my new laptop, an Slimbook Executive 14".

I followed the official installation guide, however, I had to quite a lot of more to installed on the way that I want.

My requirements were:

  • Encrypt the full disk with dm-crypt.

  • Use LVM to manage disk partitions.

  • Use ext4 file system.

Creating disk partitions

I've mostly followed dm-crypt/Encrypting an entire system, but I summarize here my process with the options that I chose.
