Are the CISSP domains a universally agreed concept?

So I'm a complete and utter beginner when it comes to cybersecurity. I just recently enrolled in the Google Cybersecurity Certificate on Coursera, and one of the first concepts they outline in the introductory course are the eight domains of CISSP. I was just curious if this concept of 8 domains is a generally agreed system of categorising cybersecurity tasks that most professionals refer to?
